Day 14: Visit to Jitegemee Women's Group and Uba's Birthday...

Today we headed to a little town near Meru to visit another Women's table banking group... We started off inside the room where they meet and watched the table banking trainers in action for the last time on this trip...

We then headed outside where they insisted on extending their hospitality to us before both sides were fully introduced. The introduction kicked off with the table banking group members...

The members told us of how table banking has changed their lives, some put themselves through school with the money, many used it to develop their agriculture... Majority told of how it open their eyes to saving and making money allowing them to see that they have money...
Pastor P addressed the group

After this all members of Solidarity House addressed the group and presented gifts to Pastor P...

A couple more speeches before Suzy gave a vote thanks on behalf of I-Go missions...

After this the table banking group insisted that we sing and dance before leaving... Watch out for the video in Kenya I-Go the journey in video... Coming very very soon

The team headed home and the girls were able to give Uba little birthday surprise in the evening after everyone has finished packing....

Watch out for the birthday surprise video in the video blog coming soon....

The following was extracted from one the diaries of a a cloverleaf Missionary...

"Dear Diary,
I cannot believe we are finally done with our trip.... It has been so blessed... What a way to end with Uba's masked party....
At the banking group we visited today we meet the oldest member of the group, she spoke fluent English it was so inspiring to see... To hear her so learned yet be willing to listen to what we had to offer and looking for ideas to keep getting better reminded me that in all things one must always seek for the best... Never give up, Never hold back, Keep learning....
In less than five hours we head back to Leeds, I praise God for a successful trip, I am so excited as to all that is to come from this....
Kenya 2013 the first of many to come... What a privilege to have been part of it.... "

See you later, Blessings from
